I’m not stopping. I’ve just popped in for a quick rant.

Leaves. Let me just say that again, but with emphasis. LEAVES! Fucking leaves! They’re everywhere. On the lawns, clogging up the borders, clustering around the plant pots, piled on the paths and drive. Soggy, mucky, yucky, slimy, decaying leaves! I’m sick of them. Bloody leaves rule my life at the moment. No matter how much I rake, sweep, suck or blow, the flaming things keep piling up. Bloody trees have no consideration. Running is a nightmare because the wet leaves are a skid hazard and I’ve gone arse over tit more than once. I hate this aspect of late autumn; everything feels so untidy and chaotic.

Life has been busy-busy on the home front of late. I don’t feel as if I’ve had a minute to myself. It doesn’t look set to get any less hectic either. Dick has booked a couple of guests into the quasi mansion later this week, so I have to prepare for that, as well as contend with bloody LEAVES! Urgh.

I was hoping to get stuck into some writing, but it hasn’t happened, and I feel bad about it. The year is almost over and I still haven’t delivered on Revs. I’ve let everyone down, well, those who read the diary at least. It’s frustrating. I have completed some chapters, but nowhere near as many as I’d hoped. It’s beginning to look like a doomed project. I’ve got a full schedule in the run up to Christmas, so not much writing time again. Sorry, houseboy fans. I wish it were better news. What I might do over the next few days, if I get time, is post another completed chapter by way of apology and appeasement and to keep you interested, I hope. Keep an eye out, but not too far out, or you’ll never get it back in.

Ciao for now.

As promised, I have put up another Revs preview. It follows on from the first piece, so you could go back and read ‘Home Again’ and then naturally follow on to ‘Auld Lang Syne,’ or not, depending on your mood. After all, this is a free country and you can read in whatever order you fancy.

A few readers have suggested publishing Revs in chunks as I complete them, saying they’d be happy to pay on a bit-by-bit basis. I was tempted, not just to draw in a bit of revenue, but because I’m aware that reading from site doesn’t offer the best reading experience. Yola can be a bit clunky when it comes to big portions of text. However, I decided against it. I don’t think a bitty approach is the way forward at all. It’s too messy and I can’t be doing with mess. Tidy is my business after all.  I will publish the complete thing in time - he said, with wild and perhaps misplaced optimism. You’ll just have to be patient, again. Anyway, the preview is ready to read. Hopefully it will engage your interest.

Well, Peeps, I’ve still got used guest rooms to sort out, so better go and do my houseboy duty.

I’ll sign off by thanking everyone who has sent emails of late. Always read and always appreciated. My thanks to you all.

NOTE - Revs links above have been reset after their temporary removal due to a complaint. I’m biting my tongue regarding the details. I mean, really, what’s the point? Cheers!

I don’t know what pissed me off more: the fact some arsehole took offence and complained about the preview content, or that the pages were disabled on the strength of the complaint and without consultation. I pay annual site fees, so why should a non-paying pain in the arse take precedence? The trend for being offended is really getting on my wick. I’ll go so far as to say it offends me. I reckon the ‘offended’ landed in Houseboy Towers totally by accident. Even so, they could have just left and closed the door behind them. There was no need to try and get me evicted. It made me feel horrible. Ah well, such things are sent to try us.
